Description

ROCS Te Yang Warship
DDG-925
The ROCS Te Yang (Hull Number: DDG-925) is a guided-missile destroyer of the Republic of China Navy and is commonly referred to simply as the Te Yang. It was one of the Yang-class destroyers serving in Taiwan’s naval fleet.
The vessel was originally the USS Sarsfield (DD-837), a Gearing-class destroyer of the United States Navy.
After being decommissioned, the Te Yang was permanently moored at Anping Harbor in Anping District, Tainan City, in 2009.
Following renovation and redevelopment, it was transformed into a naval museum and opened to the public for tours and educational visits.
Today, the ship is part of the Anping Love Pier – Te Yang Warship Park, and is operated under the management of a private entity commissioned by the Tainan City Government’s Bureau of Cultural Affairs.
